| The Signalman's Compass, shown on the bottom right, led to the development of
the six-inch surveyors compass that we currently manufacture. Every so often, a surveyor who had seen one of our Signalman's Compasses
would comment that it would be nice if he could buy one of the large Vernier Surveying
Compasses that were made years ago. This type was almost indispensable for retracement
work and is a tool for the trade that is still used to this day to find the corners of old
surveys.
Our decision to produce this compass is coupled with our
commitment to making the product with the level of accuracy that is required in this type
of work.
This commitment to quality and accuracy continues to be the
cornerstone of our product line today - more than twenty years after our first Sundial
Compass was made. |
